What did Philips do?
The sleep apnoea machines contained polyester-based polyurethane (PE-PUR) abatement foam which may degrade into particles which may enter the devices’ air pathway and be inhaled by the user. According to the TGA, exposure to the particles allegedly leads to health complications including:
